About Bunker.I
"Bunker.I" (2008) is the first of a series of works in which Patricia Sevilla Ciordia focuses her camera, and our attention, on the presence of aerial bunkers (Hochbunker) inside the inner city.
Out of context, uncomfortable and annoying but at the same time impressive and almost indestructible, these overwhelming moles of dark concrete have an existence that is debated between nonsense, daily forgetfulness, a place of memory and the search for a new identity.
With this project the Spanish photographer follows an already marked line of works that focus on the existence of Berlin as a city of change and place of past/present.
